Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Project Teams and the Quality Department.
  • Perform all product testing in the Complaint Laboratory.
  • Conduct complaint investigations for products and maintain records in the complaint system.
  • Safely operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Perform tests and experiments according to GMP and GLP requirements.
  • Maintain accurate data, analyze results, and assist in drawing conclusions.
  • Ensure compliance with department and division procedures.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and product management teams.
  • Present data findings to peers, engineers, and management staff.
  • Work safely in a biohazard environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Technical or Associate degree in a science field preferred.
  • 1 3 years of experience in a regulated industry (including co-op or internship).
  • Prior laboratory experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations, quality systems, and ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements, QSR, GLP, ISO, AAMI, and FDA guidelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Experience:

  • Experience performing laboratory tests and using lab instrumentation.
  • Experience with complaint handling or investigation systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and ISO 13485 standards.

Skills:

  • Strong communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good reasoning and judgment skills for interpreting regulations and standards.

Qualification and Education:

  • Associate or Technical Degree in a Science field preferred.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CQM) are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Normal lab/office setting with occasional exposure to noise, heat, or chemical fumes.
  • Due to the nature of the job, the candidate should be able to lift 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Requires close and color vision for lab testing.
