Laboratory Manager
CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Manager to join a busy analytical laboratory at their site in Middlesbrough. This is a permanent role working Monday – Friday.
The role:
The overall responsibility of ensuring optimum achievement of operational targets, in the most cost effective manner, consistent with safe operating practices.
To lead the teams, set expectations with team members, create an effective and safe environment.
Consider improvements and efficiencies to processes and procedures
To coordinate the daily workload and to ensure the laboratory equipment and test methods are operational.
To coordinate the Laboratory Work System to ensure adequate staffing levels on the shift pattern and weekend working requirements.
Provide support to the Day Supervisor and Laboratory Shift Supervisors to ensure relevant documentation and staff training has been completed to meet the daily requirements.Your background:
Degree/Higher National Certificate in related subject.
Excellent leadership & communication skills
Experience of leading large, high performing teams in similar environments.
Detailed Knowledge of relevant laboratory operations/standards and properties of relevant chemical products
Detailed Knowledge of relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards
