Position Details:
Title: Laboratory Technician
Position Type: 4 month contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Shift: 1st Shift

Compensation: $22.75HR
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Support third-party vendors with required equipment calibration.
• Conduct laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures.
• Record and analyze test results using computerized SPC charts.
• Communicate effectively with operators and business group representatives.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure readiness for testing.
• Attend unit pre-trial meetings and participate in equipment safety reviews.
• Work independently as the sole testing technician in the lab.
• Perform polymer property testing using the following equipment:
- Hardness Gauges
- APA
- LCR
- Tensile Tester
- Moisture Analyzer
- Mahr Tester
- Small Extruder
- HunterLab Color Scanner
- Die Cutter
- Density Tester
- Injection Molding Equipment
Qualifications:
• Strong commitment to safety and working knowledge of laboratory/pilot plant safety practices.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory operations and computer-controlled systems.
• Mechanical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting lab equipment.
• Ability to perform (or learn to perform) analytical tests supporting pilot plant operations.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to execute test plans in coordination with engineers and technical liaisons.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
