Estimated Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift / Schedule:
• Initially 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Monday–Friday; some weekends as needed
• Shift subject to change based on business needs
Job Summary
The Lab Technician II supports trace and ultra-trace elemental analysis of electronics specialty gases used in the semiconductor industry. This role is part of the Chemical Lab team and focuses on QC/QA, failure analysis, and contamination analysis using advanced analytical instrumentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced laboratory environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, accurate data to internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform routine trace and ultra-trace sample analysis of liquids and gases
• Conduct QC/QA and failure analysis testing for electronics and semiconductor applications
• Operate analytical instruments including Gas Chromatography (GC), FTIR, and moisture analyzers
• Enter and maintain accurate analytical data in LIMS
• Support timely reporting of high-quality results to customers
• Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols
• Work collaboratively as part of an enthusiastic laboratory team
• Support laboratory operations at the Morrisville, PA facility
Required Skills
• Experience with Gas Chromatography, FTIR, LIMS, and/or Mass Spectrometry
• Ability to perform accurate analytical testing in a chemical lab environment
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move gas cylinders using carts
Education & Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree highly preferred in Chemistry or a related field
Safety & Work Environment
• Safety-Sensitive Position: Yes
• PPE Required: Fire-retardant lab coat, metatarsal safety shoes, eye protection
• Work Environment: Chemical laboratory
• Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs; moving cylinders with carts
