Job Title: Laboratory Technician II
Location: Monroeville, PA 15146
Duration: 12 months contract on W2 + possible extension or conversion
Shift: Day shift
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary:
" Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance or research setting.
" Duties consist of preparing samples, making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
" Assists higher level technicians in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures.
" Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests.
" Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
Qualification:
" Requires a high school education or equivalent.
" Prior experience is desired with examples of safe practices, chemical handling, and record keeping/reporting.
" Some chemistry courses are desired.
" Knowledge of Microsoft office software is desired.
