South Shores Animal Hospital is growing and seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! Our technicians play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care during both outpatient visits and procedures. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing treatment plans, assisting during exams, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, and collaborating closely with our doctors to complete dental procedures. Technicians also provide clear and compassionate client education, addressing questions with professionalism and confidence.
We are looking for a technician who enjoys collaborating with others, communicates well with both clients and teammates, and brings a positive, proactive approach to their work. This position is ideal for experienced or early career LVTs who wants to fully utilize their skills in both outpatient and surgical settings while being part of a supportive, team-focused environment.
Schedule:
This is a flexible full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed for rotating Saturdays.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
- Compensation: $25-29 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $2000
- CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician license in the state of Nevada
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Venipuncture & placing IV catheters
- Administering injections
- In house laboratory processing and microscopic evaluation
- Anesthetic induction and monitoring

We offer medical care, boarding, and grooming for small animals as well as exotics, and have rehabilitation and reproduction services available. Our hospital is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, surgical laser & cold laser, and recently underwent an expansion of our treatment area.
