Shift: Evening Shift 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Job Description
Hospital is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and complex laboratory testing in the General Lab. The technologist will play a critical role in patient diagnosis and treatment by ensuring accurate and timely lab results.
Department: General Laboratory
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank as assigned
- Analyze specimens and interpret test results with accuracy and attention to detail
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Ensure quality control and compliance with laboratory standards and regulations
- Document results accurately in laboratory information systems
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding test results and critical values
Requirements
- Medical Laboratory Technologist certification (ASCP required)
- Active Michigan State Laboratory License
- Minimum 2 years of recent lab experience
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory standards
- Ability to work evening shifts independently and as part of a team
