Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Biologist to support some of California's most exciting and important projects. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our group of more than 100 environmental professionals in Northern California. This hybrid position will join our team based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be located in or around the Sacramento area due to project and field work assignments.
This opportunity will support a variety of projects and clients in northern California, with a focus on field assessments and surveys, construction monitoring, and technical writing and analysis.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Surveys for special-status wildlife and nesting birds.
- Surveys for special-status plants and vegetation mapping.
- Wetland delineation.
- Monitoring of construction activities for compliance with environmental requirements and/or permits.
- Independent report writing capabilities.
- Preparation of reports documenting survey or monitoring results.
- Preparation of other technical documents or permit applications.
- Preparation of environmental compliance documents (CEQA/NEPA).
- Participation as an active and positive member of AECOM’s Environmental Planning & Permitting practice.
- Occasional travel in Central and Northern California may be required.
