Locum Occupational Therapist – Major Adaptations Team (Lowestoft)
* Location: Riverside House, Lowestoft, NR33 0EQ (Hybrid: 2–3 days office / 2 days WFH)
* Rate: £35 per hour (umbrella)
* Contract: Locum / Ongoing assignment
* Specialism: Adaptations / Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG)
We are seeking an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join the Independent Living Suffolk – Major Adaptations Team in Lowestoft. This is a hybrid role, offering a great balance between office-based work and working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering safe and timely front-line OT services across the directorate
* Supporting triage processes to reduce duplication between health and social care, helping to manage waiting lists
* Advising and supporting external care providers with safe moving and handling tasks
* Completing reviews of care packages to ensure best value for Adult Social Care and optimal use of available equipment
* Reviewing double-handed care packages
* Providing mutual aid to other OT service areas where needed
* Carrying out OT assessments and reviews to a high standard
Requirements:
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with experience in adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG)
* HCPC registration
* Strong assessment, review, and care planning skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
£34 – £35/hour
