We are seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess the following certification and skills:
Required Certification:
- American Board of Radiology (ABR)
Required Skills and Experience:
- High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
- Total Body Irradiation (TBI)
- Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT)
The candidate should be experienced in handling standard radiation cases with a higher volume of breast and prostate cases. Additional experience with lung, hepatobiliary, brain, multiple myeloma, sarcomas, and other types of cancer is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance, calibration, and repairs of radiation therapy equipment.
- Communicate and collaborate with the radiation oncology team regarding equipment status.
- Develop a mutual plan of action for anticipated equipment downtime.
- Conduct daily radiation therapy treatments, ensuring principal functions such as calibration and quality assurance are performed after normal business hours.
- Engage with outside vendors as necessary for equipment repairs.
- Perform any additional duties necessary for the optimal performance of the Department of Physics.
