Process Improvement Technician
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Improvement Technician to join our client’s quality team within a high-standard food manufacturing environment. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with our clients EMEA Operations team to drive improvements in business performance, product quality, and operational efficiency. Role Overview As a key member of the team, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality of our products and maintaining our reputation for excellence. You will help ensure that improvements implemented are standardised and sustained through great relations with Team Leaders across both site and the wider business. You will engage with the daily operational teams and provide laboratory analysis to advance performance improvement opportunities. You will also support multidisciplinary teams through troubleshooting and promoting Lean manufacturing principles. Key Responsibilities • Conduct non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. • Interpret and communicate analytical results to relevant stakeholders. • Maintain and develop SOPs and test methods, ensuring compliance with GLP standards. • Troubleshoot laboratory and process issues, recommending practical solutions. • Accurately record and maintain laboratory data. • Collaborate with shift managers, applying tools such as Loss & Waste Analysis, RCPS, and DMAIC. • Facilitate plant and process problem-solving initiatives. Health, Safety & Environment • Adhere to company and legal Health & Safety requirements at all times. • Maintain the highest standards of safety in both the laboratory and production areas. • Proactively identify and report safety, hygiene, or compliance concerns. • We are looking for a proactive, solutions-focused professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. Candidate Requirements • Degree in Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. • Previous experience in a quality assurance or laboratory environment. • Ideally have some experience in the Food & Beverage or Food Services industry. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), statistical analysis, and quality control tools. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Experience with Lean manufacturing tools (e.g. 5S, Lean Six Sigma, RCPS). • Enthusiasm for biotechnology, fermentation, and science. • Full, clean driving licence. Hours of work 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday. Salary c£41K, 25 days holiday + bank holidays and Free parking
£36000 – £41000/annum
