Pay Rate: $23.00/hr. – $25.00/hr.
 
JD:

• The contract technician position actively participates on teams that deliver technical solutions significantly impacting the residential roofing business.
• This role contributes to the business’s success by operating the shingle prototype line, developing process equipment, and conducting product tests on projects designed to improve the quality and productivity of our roofing operations.

 
Must haves:

• Manufacturing and/or quality control experience – background in manufacturing operations or quality assurance processes
• Mechanically inclined – experienced using hand tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers)
• Self-sufficient – works with little to no supervision
• Strong collaboration skills – able to work effectively with team members and cross-functional partners
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities – quickly and efficiently identify and resolve technical issues
• Safety focused – consistently prioritizes safe work practices in all aspects of the role
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills – able to analyse situations, develop solutions, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

 
Experience and Knowledge Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Hands-on aptitude with mechanical equipment
• Troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing and laboratory environment
• Must be comfortable using a computer; working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
