Project Manager – Glass/Chemical Systems
Full-time | Travel Required | Company Vehicle Provided
Seeking an experienced Project Manager with a specialized background in glass melting and electric boosting systems. This is a highly technical role suited for someone with a foundation in mechanical, chemical, or civil/structural engineering and hands-on experience in the glass, ceramic, or chemical industries.
Responsibilities
Oversee on-site project commissioning and manage field operations
Supervise subcontractors and installation teams in the field
Lead and review design work for glass melting tanks, incorporating input from CFD modeling and historical designs
Manage drafting and design deliverables with in-house and external resources
Ensure designs align with advanced refractory or steel design principles
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Structural Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in glass, ceramic, chemical, mechanical, or structural engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Advanced knowledge of refractory or steel design concepts
Strong project leadership and communication skills
Willingness to travel for field supervision and commissioning activities
Preferred Experience:
Hands-on work in glass manufacturing or melting plants
Familiarity with electric melting and electric boost systems
