Overview:
TRC is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation Practice in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and have 0-2 years of environmental consulting experience. TRC’s New York City office is a vibrant, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment in the heart of Manhattan, and provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in a setting that thrives on team-work. Candidates must be within commuting distance of Manhattan, NYC.
Responsibilities:
Typical responsibilities include:
- Preparation of technical specifications and design drawings in support of environmental remediation projects including remedial system design, vapor intrusion mitigation, remedial excavation, chemical injections, pilot tests and feasibility studies.
- Management and preparation of Environmental Subsurface Investigations, Indoor Air Quality Investigations, Community Air Monitoring Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and other environmental assessments and investigations.
- Perform field work including construction inspections and soil, stormwater, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling.
- Remedial Investigation Work Plan Preparation, Implementation and Oversight.
- Prepare remedial cost estimates and develop proposals for implementation of the work.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or B.A. in environmental engineering, science, geology or related field.
- 0 to 2 years of environmental consulting experience.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER and 10-hr Construction certification would be a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Demonstrates excellence and efficiency in writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, and knowledge of scientific principles.
- Strong sense of responsibility and work ethic.
- Strong quality assurance/quality control skills to perform technical, style and consistency reviews.
- Ability to manage time and multiple project assignments.
- Working knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Exposure to environmental consulting work in New York City a plus.
- Ability to work in a project team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range:
USD $68,000.00 – USD $75,192.00 /Yr.
