- Analyze existing IAM processes (e.g., joiner-mover-leaver, access requests, reviews).
- Define and document target-state processes for identity lifecycle, access provisioning, role definitions, and policy enforcement.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Create clear documentation: user stories, business process flows, use cases, functional specs, and test scenarios.
- Work closely with IAM architects, engineers, and developers to ensure accurate implementation.
- IAM Tools & Technologies:
- Collaborate on the configuration and deployment of IAM tools (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, One Identity, Azure AD, Ping Identity, CyberArk).
- Assist with role mining, entitlement reviews, access certification, and integration planning.
- Testing & Validation:
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist with validation of IAM functionalities.
- Ensure that implemented IAM solutions meet business, security, and compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units.
- Provide regular updates, impact assessments, and issue resolution guidance.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts: user provisioning, authentication, RBAC/ABAC, MFA, SSO, PAM, and access governance.
- Proficient in business analysis techniques, process modeling, and workflow design.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with identity lifecycle tools, identity repositories, and compliance/audit processes.
Tools & Platforms Exposure (Preferred):
- IAM Platforms: SailPoint, Okta, One Identity, CyberArk, ForgeRock, Azure AD
- Project & Workflow Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow
- Protocols/Standards: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP
Certifications (Preferred):
- CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent Business Analysis certification.
- Security certifications such as CISA, CISSP (associate), or vendor-specific IAM certifications (e.g., SailPoint BA Certified).

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of professional experience, with at least 4–5 years focused specifically on IAM or information security.
- Experience working in complex IAM environments across multiple platforms and systems.
