Introduction
As a Software QA Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our web-based payment processing systems, APIs, third-party integrations, and point of sale hardware. You will collaborate closely with the QA team, product owners, software developers, and leadership within a Scrum-based Software Development Lifecycle to ensure our products meet or exceed quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work directly for the company on a W2 basis
- Knowledge of full system life cycles
- Experience with quality assurance practices and tools
- Automated or manual testing experience in web and client-server environments
- Proficiency in writing test cases, test plans, structured test methodology, and use cases
- Experience in development, execution, and reporting of test scripts
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- UI Automation testing with Cypress
- Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or Bruno
- Strong analytical thinking and bug investigation skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze changes to web-based and platform payment software to ensure quality standards are met
- Plan and execute functional and regression test cycles, reporting on their status and results
- Identify and report defects within systems and applications under test
- Maintain the test case repository through gap analysis and review of regression test cases
- Create comprehensive documentation, test plans, and test cases for new and existing features
- Provide subject matter expertise for the systems under test
- Mentor and train team members
- Participate in all sprint activities including daily stand-ups, grooming/sizing, planning, requirements gathering, story writing, and solution design sessions
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to analyze projects and gather testing requirements
- Coordinate and collaborate with offshore team members
- Coordinate and collaborate with the test automation team to triage failures reported by test automation
