Job Summary:
A quality control inspector is responsible for monitoring the quality of incoming and outgoing products by examining shipments of inventory and raw goods, measuring the specifications of random items in each production run.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
First articles, in-process, and final inspection
Respectful communication with colleagues
Traveler / Router documentation
Disposition of non-conformance tags
Ability to create inspection documents for shop floor
Adherence to all safety precautions as required
Team player attitude
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
A minimum of 5 years as QC Inspector.
GD&T proficiency (with tight tolerancing).
Ability to use all standard QC equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, pin gages, bore gages, etc.
Detail oriented, pro-active, and organized.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Keen eye for detail and ability to focus, yet flexible enough to multi-task and thrive under pressure.
Ability to run CMM programs ( PC-DMIS is a plus)
Trigonometry proficiency is a plus
Machinist experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
AA Degree or High School diploma with job experience
Epicor experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to push and/or pull up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete surface.
Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties
2nd shift:
2:00pm 10:30pm
