Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.
US Citizenship Required.
This Quality Engineering (QE) position will tactically support the West Palm Beach product center which may include production flight and final assembly operations (AFO), along with developmental fight test (DFC). Primary product center will be determined based on operation needs and best fit of candidates skills and experience. The position will be physically located in Jupiter, FL. The QE will be responsible for support throughout the product life cycle from issue identification, receiving activities and through tactical resolution to meet customer expectations. The QE will provide support through identification and implementation of process improvement activities that support the organizations key performance measurements, vision and strategy. The QE role and responsibilities include but are not be limited to:
Work with product center / area production QMs and QEs to resolve RCA and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
Ability to identify and lead collaborative QA efforts.
POC for assigned product center, and to handle the daily tactical quality activities to ensure issues are identified and handled through to resolution.
Monitor assigned performance utilizing metrics (SRR)
Participate as required in escape investigation / corrective action requests (CARs)
Provide technical liaison support.
Monitor recovery action plans and proactively identify potential gaps
Awareness of AS9100 requirements related to handling of root cause corrective action for identified defects, first articles and product line variations.
Take ownership and responsibility for critical processes within the organization
Develop and utilize daily analytics to proactively address and identify trends
Work with supplier counterpart (SQE) on resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause corrective actions and ensure effectiveness.
Report out to management and customer on root cause and corrective actions. Drive lessons learned and best practices across other product centers.
Supporting the execution and achievement of all applicable client business objectives.
Support production readiness reviews, and conformity audits (AOI, AS9100)
Support and/or manage special projects as required
Ability to utilize Catia to complete review of Model Based Definition drawing and Reduced Dimension Drawings
Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry / line of business specifications
Prior Quality Engineer experience
Prior experience working in aerospace/rotorcraft environment
Prior use of root cause corrective action tools
Experience with team building skills
Utilization of Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing skills
AS9100 Lead Auditor or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and drive change.
Strong communication skills including the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership on tactical issues affecting the quality of products delivered.
Understanding of rotorcraft manufacturing processes
Ability to effectively deliver presentations to all levels of management
Self-starter who works proactively taking on assignment ownership with excellent time management skills
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
