Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will lead and oversee quality, safety, and environmental initiatives. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management of compliance programs including ISO 9001:2015, OSHA regulations, and EPA standards. The QA Manager will also supervise staff, coordinate inspections, manage audits, and interface directly with internal teams, government customers, and technical personnel to ensure all quality and safety objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Quality, Safety & Environmental Oversight:
Develop, implement, and monitor QA programs to ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and EPA standards.
Lead internal audits and inspections, chair periodic Quality Management Reviews.
Design and oversee inspection and testing procedures, analyze data, and implement improvements.
Work closely with leadership to define and enforce quality and reliability standards.
Ensure all safety training, PPE usage, and fire prevention procedures are current and enforced.
Support continuous process improvement and root cause analysis related to Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
Leadership & Communication:
Provide technical supervision, training, and mentorship to QA staff.
Deliver presentations, safety briefings, and technical training sessions.
Document and communicate quality objectives, performance metrics, and audit findings.
Collaborate with program and project managers, government representatives, and internal stakeholders.
Accountable For:
Responsible to maintain a safe work environment within the organization
Ensure personnel are trained on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and is available for their use.
Ensure personnel are trained and certified to perform skills required by the organization
Ensure fire prevention equipment within the organization is inspected and ready for use.
Handle highly complex tasks uncovering and resolving problems associated with the analysis and development of technical specifications for enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems.
Juggle numerous projects and assignments and continuously re-assess priorities to achieve goals and objectives.
Providing subject matter expertise, supervision and guidance to all levels of quality assurance staff.
Document ideas and present them to peers and customers.
Conduct quality-based presentations, technical classroom lectures and safety training.
Build QA Workbooks and review with installation teams.
Job Requirements:
Mandatory:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
Must be familiar with NAVSEA, NIWC, Coast Guard, and NSWC Quality Assurance Programs.
Fifteen (15) years of Quality Management Experience.
Familiar with NAVSEA Quality Programs.
OSHA Trainer certification.
Electrical Connector inspection training.
Familiar with ISO, OSHA, and EPA standards and NAVSEA STD ITEMS.
Must be able to read and interpret NAVSEA and USCG drawings.
AIT Maintenance Manual 9090-310H APP 4 – QA requirements.
Knowledge in Safety, specifically 009-06, 009-07, 009-08 & OSHA/record keeping.
AIT Maintenance Manual 9090-310H APP 4 – QA requirements.
Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015 clauses and subclauses.
NDT – visual inspections formal training (certification not required, we will certify).
Must have experience in modifying and/or writing shipboard weld procedures.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
