Quality Assurance Technician – Food Manufacturing
 
Nesco Resource is currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician for our client located in Allenwood, PA. This is an excellent first shift Direct Hire opportunity with competitive pay. The Quality Assurance Technician will support food safety, product quality, and compliance. This role is responsible for performing inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting audits, and helping ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
  • Monitor production for compliance with GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety requirements
  • Complete and maintain accurate QA records and documentation
  • Identify and report quality concerns, nonconformities, or food safety risks
  • Assist with corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support internal and external audits including FDA and GFSI certification programs
  • Assist with calibration and maintenance of QA testing equipment
  • Reinforce quality and food safety procedures with production employees

 Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in food manufacturing quality assurance preferred
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Experience working in a GFSI-certified facility preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a production setting while following safety and sanitation requirements
