Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester. This position will perform the following duties but not limited too:
- Works on the development and implementation of software test plans, scenarios, scripts, and quality assurance programs.
- Analyzes test cases and functional specifications to determine best approach for automating scripts.
- Creates automated tests to augment manual testing.
- Promotes and adopts consistent testing standards, tools, and processes.
- Performs analysis on complex business requirements and software problems.
- Performs verification and validation of software products, develops test protocols, and is responsible for drafting and updating documentation of results.
- Provides effort estimates based on high-level assumptions. Identifies data for testing and creates test design including test cases and conditions.
- Runs tests and diagnoses problems to ensure user requirements are met.
- Reviews software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness.
- Provides input on the development of quality control policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitors progress against schedule.
- Assists fellow team members and customers with problem reporting and resolution and maintaining appropriate follow-up communications throughout the resolution process.
- Debugs complex software products using systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Designs, codes, and executes automated test scripts.
- Prepares reports and documentation updates. Provides technical consulting on automation issues, tools, and processes.
- May take part in researching best practices, new tools, and technology.
- Develops and executes software test plans.
- Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Duties may include, but not limited to:
- Performing all unit, integration, data conversion, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Testing operating system-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.
- Developing test cases.
- Developing and configuring automated testing cases and tools.
Manual testing will also be requried.
Qualifications:
Required Qualificaitions:
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- Must be a US citizen
- Able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Expereince with Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Managment (ALM) suite to include Unified Functional Testing (UFT).
- Knowledge/expereince with LoadRunner is a plus.

Target Salary Range:
$80,000 – $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
