Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector will temporarily support quality assurance operations, covering for a team member on leave. This role is responsible for performing quality checks, completing documentation, auditing compliance, and supporting production teams across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and able to interpret blueprints and technical documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interval quality checks and complete documentation per quality procedures (QP).
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and measurement tools.
- Inspect product dimensions and finishes against blueprints and specifications.
- Support compliance audits and collaborate with Code Agency personnel.
- Provide technical quality support to production teams.
- Supervise or conduct product rework as needed.
- Ensure raw materials and finished goods meet established standards.
- Drive system audits and collaborate with internal teams on compliance success.
- Measure coil loads: thickness, width, and hardness vs. spec sheets.
- Operate a forklift as needed (training provided if required).
- Cross-train in other departments as business needs arise.
Required Experience:
- 6+ months in a Quality Control or manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specs.
- Strong computer skills for documentation and records.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Prior experience in a roofing or building materials environment.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
