Quality Director/QP
Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility
Quality Strategy Development: Define the organization’s quality vision, mission, and objectives, aligning them with strategic goals. Develop a roadmap and actionable plans to achieve these quality targets.
Quality Management Systems (QMS): Design, implement, and maintain robust QMS that comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements. Ensure proper documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, to support quality processes.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards. Ensure the organization's compliance by coordinating inspections and audits, and liaising with regulatory bodies.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Lead initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen to enhance processes, reduce defects, and optimize resource utilization.
Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure products, services, and processes meet or exceed customer expectations. Establish quality control measures to monitor system effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
Supplier and Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Develop and implement supplier quality management programs to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality materials, components, and services.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending corrective actions.
Training and Development: Identify quality-related training needs across all levels of the organization. Provide guidance, support, and conduct training programs to enhance understanding of quality standards, processes, and methodologies.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to product quality and customer safety. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure effective risk management processes are in place across the organization.
Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the quality team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear goals, offer feedback and coaching, and ensure the team has the necessary resources to succeed
