Position Summary
The Quality Engineer (CMM Specialty) provides support to the Quality team. They are responsible for programming the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to measure or inspect products, materials, components and parts, to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. As well as implementing quality assurance solutions to a wide range of complex issues. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommends corrective actions.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Job Duty
• Assist Quality department in the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.
• Performs complex quality assurance tests and inspection activities.
• Initiates and leads root cause analysis for process related concerns, analyzes process audit results, and recommends proper corrective and preventive action.
• Establishes the quality requirement, assuring that delivered products/components meet the design and reliability requirements.
• Operates within established budgets by developing cost effective methods to improve quality
• Approves manufacturing processes, test instructions and specifications for conformance to program quality requirements.
• Performs Quality audits on various processes to ensure that all requirements are being followed
• Provides significant expertise and knowledge on complex issues and acts as a professional resource for colleagues.
• May be assigned to one of the following areas: Quality Systems, Supplier Quality Assurance or Project Product Assurance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned such as but not limited to creating FAIRs for production products, creating Service Orders from customer zero hour returns and support Parker-Meggitt Zero Defect program as necessary.

Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience (if more than 5 years experience required, provide overview in the experience comments to support objective justification):
• Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
• Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities List
• Advanced knowledge of Quality Engineering processes and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems
• Ability to exercise a high degree of originality and independent judgment in addition to keeping abreast of new production technology and engineering advancements
• Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T and QMS systems
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
• Excellent test engineering knowledge to improve products by applying best practices and testing experience
• Ability to operate and program CMM at a professional level
• Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment & multi-task with shifting priorities.
• Able to work independently, but part of a team spread-out globally.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time-management, team-building, leadership, analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Team-player personality, flexible and extremely open-minded.
• Able to communicate with a variety of personality types and all levels of an organization.
• Strong computer skills in: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, CRM, etc.
• Natural leader with a strong sense of urgency, foresight and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Able to meet multiple, sometimes conflicting deadlines.
• Stress-tolerant in a very fast paced, results-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically

• Intermediate level knowledge of PC software applications and strong understanding of PC operating systems
