Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Aviation Quality Engineer 1 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and implementing basic quality tools and methods and contributing to ECO implementation.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify, understand, resolve and eradicate quality issues of basic scope
Participates in cross organizational project teams to implement process and tool improvements that improve quality
Contributes information to Senior Quality Engineers for product quality reviews
Supports the identification of defects of basic scope using proper engineering tools and techniques
Applies basic standards and procedures to accomplish tasks using appropriate engineering tools to document and implement work in an organized manner
Analyzes data to identify quality issues
Communicates directly with customers on quality issues
May be responsible for planning own technical work
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Demonstrated capability to perform basic troubleshooting & debugging
Demonstrated understanding of lean tools and methods
Demonstrated capability for applying industry standards and procedures to develop, implement, and document operational processes
Ability to learn how to use and apply engineering tools
Desired Qualifications
Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
Awareness of AS 9100, APQP, and Customer Specific Requirements
