Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and execution of quality engineering practices for multiple large-scale teams. This role will play a key part in modernizing retail technology systems used daily by millions of customers—enhancing customer experiences and improving associate efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader with deep expertise in automation, API testing, performance testing, and best-in-class QA frameworks, as well as the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software at scale.

Testing Expertise & Strategy
- Design innovative, preventative quality strategies and shift-left practices
- Build and maintain scalable test automation and quality monitoring frameworks
Test Planning & Optimization
- Develop end-to-end testing strategies tailored to product risk and release cycles
- Optimize resource usage while balancing test coverage and time-to-market
Technical Skills
- API Testing: Deep experience with API functionality and data integrity testing
- Karate: Advanced proficiency in service and integration testing with Karate
- Test Data Management: Strong experience in data-driven testing approaches
- Performance Testing: Hands-on experience with tools and methodologies for performance validation
- Test Automation & Frameworks: Skilled in BDD, CI/CD integration, and cross-platform automation
- Service Virtualization & Cloud Testing: Experience working with virtualized services and cloud-native test environments
Analytical & Communication Skills
- Translate quality metrics into actionable business insights
- Assess and mitigate risks through predictive analysis
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering
- Demonstrated leadership in test strategy across multiple teams or organizations
- Proficiency with modern QA tools and frameworks (Karate, Selenium, REST APIs, JMeter, etc.)
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with integrated test automation in CI/CD pipelines
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Lead Quality Engineering Strategy
- Design and implement best-in-class testing frameworks focused on functional and performance testing for critical enterprise applications
Drive Test Automation & Modern Practices
- Utilize Karate, Selenium, and API testing expertise to build scalable, maintainable automation frameworks
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as a quality advocate across engineering teams, aligning strategies and priorities with stakeholders
System Modernization
- Support the transformation of legacy systems into modern, customer-centric applications
Performance & Live Quality
- Implement robust performance testing and production quality assurance practices
Mentorship & Leadership
- Mentor junior QA engineers and foster a culture of quality excellence
