Our Client, a Automotive company, is looking for a Quality Engineer II for their Redford, MI location.
Responsibilities:
- The main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards.
- A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.
- Coordinates quality objectives with other departments
- Drives continuous improvement by developing and implementing error and mistake proofing
- Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems
- Drive issues to closure through the various quality feedback loops
- Analyzes assembly process data to look for trends or possible upcoming concerns.
- Works with Advanced Quality Tools (i.e., PFMEAs) to ensure a quality assembly process
- Knowledge of Prisma and a few tools for social media drawing CG doc
- Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems
- Analyzes SPC data and works with manufacturing engineering to make process improvements
- Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations
- Facilitate others in the executions of Quality Improvement activities
- To work in a plant environment, working hands-on with engine assembly
Requirements:
- Entry level – bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- 2-4 years’ experience required in any general high volume manufacturing
- SPC data analysis experience
- Advanced quality tool i.e. – PFMEAs
- Experience analyzing assembly process data
- Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of Prisma and a few tools for social media drawing – CG doc
- Best candidate has the right motivation and personality – can accept challenges coupled with right background and experience – high speed high urgency issues – self motivated and capable of handling issues – high independence and accountability
- Key manufacturing experience
- GDT technical ability to read drawings
- PAP FMEA advanced quality tools
