Job Description:
As a Quality Inspector, you will be involved in conducting inspections and tests to ensure compliance with contracts, client requirements, and standards. Responsibilities include validating certifications, using inspection tools, and analysing data. The position also involves training others, participating, and reporting on activities. A high school diploma and 2-3 years of inspection experience are required, with preferred qualifications including a high level of GD&T understanding.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure process compliance with contracts, our client and KAS group requirements and specifications for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance, and services.
- Uses and cares for inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
- Conducts sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
- Provides training and tutoring to other inspection personnel.
- Provides activity and status reports to management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required plus 3 years of relevant experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in inspection role.
- Familiar with material and product certifications
- GD&T Qualification
- Basic understanding of inspection tools i.e., caliper thread and plug gages.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $30.00 to $32.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
