Electronics IPC Quality Inspector

Carson, CA


Job Function:

Verify and resolve product configuration issues

Identify and assign rework actions necessary

Conduct Product Acceptance verification and final approval

Log reports and findings (defects) necessary to ensure accuracy of all Quality records for traceability.

Collaborate with other members of the engineering staff to support both project and internal R&D efforts



Must have CURRENT (or recently expired) certification for IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001

Certification for IPC/WHMA-A-620 highly preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required



Minimum of 4 years’ experience in IPC inspection including:

Ability to review and interpret technical data packages for electronic assemblies

Successful electronic assembly experience including SMT, T/H & Mechanical Design

Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls

Experience with New Product and Process Development

Ability to effectively operate visual magnification devices (microscopes, etc.)

Ability to effectively operate and interpret basic electronic measuring devices

Ability to effectively operate and interpret basic mechanical measuring devices

Ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers

Comfortable working in a manufacturing / production environment

Candidates must be able to perform in a self-directed in a fast-paced working environment

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrates proficiency in Windows, MS Office Suite
