Job Summary
Inspect dimensions to print. Uphold the quality and integrity of all parts manufactured. Support operations in a leadership facet to help meet internal/external goals to both our suppliers and customers.
Looking for candidates who meet the basic qualifications: Certified IPC Specialist in IPC-A-610 (current). Only pass along candidates that have this certification listed on their resume.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect (receiving, in-process, and outbound) aerospace component parts, sub-assemblies, and/or assemblies visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications, and supplier/customer requirements. Other duties and/or responsibilities may be performed as part of cross-training or employee development plan.
- Responsible for review and acceptance of paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance of product.
- Responsible for producing necessary manual or computer-generated inspection reports to accept or reject products.
- Use measurement equipment such as, but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plugs, thread ring gages, surface plates, and optical comparators.
- Complete data processing move transactions as required.
- Execute basic understanding of geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements per industry requirements.
- Perform inspection up to IPC and J-STD requirements.
Required Skills
- Certified IPC Specialist in IPC-A-610 (current).
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident [i.e., Green Card Holder], Political Asylee, or Refugee).
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Torrance area (50 miles) will be considered.
