About the Role:
Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a small residential home near Wednesbury that provides high-quality care for young people with SEMH needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with strong leadership skills and a child-centred approach to make a real impact in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of all children and young people in your care.
• Develop and maintain an effective, nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes for children with SEMH needs.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop a dedicated staff team, ensuring high standards of practice.
• Work closely with external agencies, including local authorities, education providers, and health professionals.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, incident reporting, and safeguarding procedures.
• Ensure the home maintains compliance with all legislative requirements including Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and service development, contributing to excellent inspection outcomes.

Requirements:
• Must have previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
• Strong understanding and experience supporting children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
• Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, children’s legislation, and Ofsted standards.
• Proven leadership and management skills with a compassionate, resilient, and child-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel locally
