Job Title: Registered Manager – Residential Care Home
Location: Cockermouth
Salary: £44,000 per annum

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a well-established residential care home in Cockermouth, providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents, including those living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities
Take full operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of the residential home
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards, including CQC requirements
Lead, motivate and develop a stable and high-performing care team
Oversee care planning to ensure person-centred, dignified, and responsive care delivery
Manage staffing rotas, recruitment, supervision, and performance management
Monitor budgets and ensure effective financial management of the service
Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and infection control
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external agencies
Drive continuous improvement and maintain high occupancy levels
Essential Requirements
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Previous experience as a Registered Manager (or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up) within an elderly/dementia residential setting
Strong knowledge of dementia care best practice
Proven track record of achieving and maintaining good CQC ratings
Sound understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
