Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Research Associate – Biology – III – Onsite for a position with a Major Biotechnology Company located in Foster City, CA. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity.
This is a great opportunity for a lab scientist to use their biology and biochemistry training to help manage our client's biologics inventory. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the Biologics Inventory team to bring a library of legacy biologics current. This lab-based role is highly collaborative and supports research and exploratory projects across several therapeutic areas including virology, inflammation, oncology, and respiratory disease.
Responsibilities:
- Perform audit of current biologics inventory
- Apply rules for reformatting samples and consolidating storage containers as required
- Record and update inventory daily
- Use automation, liquid handlers, instrumentation, LIMS, and inventory management tools
- Work in a Biological Safety cabinet to reformat individual samples into appropriate labware for long term storage
- Accountable to meet established timelines
Requirements:
- BS with 2 years experience in Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline
- Strong background in Biology or Biochemistry with familiarity in aseptic technique
- Detail oriented, well organized, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of sample management, sterile technique, and logistics
- Demonstrated proficiency with sample preparation using various liquid handlers and dispensers (Echo, Bravo, Biomek, i7, etc.)
- Strong team orientation; highly collaborative and flexible
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Pay range: up to $50.00 per hour
