Job Title: Research Associate I

Position Overview:
The Molecular Biology department is seeking a motivated Research Associate I to support internal research efforts aimed at discovering Client therapeutics. This role will involve hands-on laboratory work, sample processing (manual and robotic), genetic data analysis, and quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for scientific discovery in a dynamic lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Process biological samples using both manual and automated (robotic) techniques.

Perform PCR and qPCR assays (e.g., TaqMan, 5' nuclease assays) and analyze resulting genetic data.

Conduct quality control checks on nucleic acid data and laboratory outputs.

Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies for genetic analysis and sample processing.

Collaborate with internal research teams to support ongoing discovery projects.

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to laboratory protocols.
Required Skills:

Basic understanding of PCR, qPCR, and other nucleic acid amplification techniques.

Ability to design and troubleshoot basic PCR/qPCR assays.

High attention to detail with strong analytical and documentation skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, diverse, and collaborative environment.

Flexible availability to accommodate lab workflow and project demands.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with genetic constructs used in mammalian genome engineering (e.g., Cre-Lox system).

Experience with laboratory automation or robotic systems is a plus.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or related field.

1–2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in an academic or industrial research setting.
