Responsible Person (RP) – Pharmaceuticals
Location: Swadlincote (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Travel: UK travel to partner pharma sites

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Responsible Person (RP) to join a growing pharmaceutical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RP looking for a hybrid role with strong autonomy, impact, and involvement across multiple UK sites.
The RP will play a key role in ensuring GDP compliance, safeguarding product quality, and maintaining the integrity of the pharmaceutical supply chain. You will act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, oversee quality systems, and support continuous improvement across our operations.
This role is based 2 days per week onsite in Swadlincote, with the flexibility of 3 days remote working, plus occasional UK travel to other pharma distribution locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fulfil all Responsible Person duties in line with MHRA and GDP guidelines.
* Ensure the company’s wholesale distribution authorisation (WDA(H)) obligations are met.
* Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
* Approve and manage GDP-related procedures, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
* Conduct supplier and customer qualification, including audits where required.
* Ensure proper storage, handling, transportation, and documentation of pharmaceutical products.
* Provide RP oversight for complaints, recalls, incidents, and investigations.
* Lead GDP training and support ongoing competency development across teams.
* Liaise with MHRA inspectors, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Support operational teams across other UK sites with occasional travel.
About You:
* Certified Responsible Person with an active status on the MHRA RP register.
* Strong working knowledge of GDP, MHRA expectations, and pharmaceutical distribution operations.
* Experience within a WDA(H)-regulated environment.
* Confident managing quality systems, compliance processes, and cross‑functional communication.
* Able to balance office presence with remote work and occasional UK travel.
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
* Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable operating independently when required.
