School Nurse

Are you an experienced School Nurse looking to make a real difference? Our client, a leading UK charity dedicated to children with brain injuries, is seeking a passionate and skilled School Nurse to join their team in Tadworth, Surrey. The role offers an annual salary up to £51,204, depending on experience, and includes London weighting. You'll enjoy a range of benefits, including 35 days of annual leave (inclusive of public holidays), a Blue Light Discount Card, and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

Our client is the UK's foremost charity for children with brain injuries and neurodisability. They provide comprehensive rehabilitation, medical care, and special education services, alongside expert information and support. Their facilities include a modern hydrotherapy pool, nature trails, and specially adapted equipment, all designed to support the unique needs of children and their families.

As a School Nurse, you will:

Provide high-quality nursing care to children with complex health needs.
Partner with the Lead School Nurse and the Multidisciplinary Team.
Serve as the main point of contact for school nursing in the absence of the Lead School Nurse.
Conduct assessments, care planning, and evaluations in partnership with families.
Ensure safe administration of medication and maintain professional boundaries.
Participate in the audit process and contribute to health promotion programmes.

Annual salary up to £51,204, inclusive of London weighting.
35 days annual leave, including public holidays.

The ideal School Nurse, candidate will have:

Registration as a Nurse (Child branch or Learning Disability) or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience at Band 5 or 1 year at Band 6 in a relevant field.
Experience working with children with complex health needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
