School Nurse

The role offers an annual salary up to £51,204, depending on experience, and includes London weighting. They provide comprehensive rehabilitation, medical care, and special education services, alongside expert information and support. As a School Nurse, you will:
Provide high-quality nursing care to children with complex health needs.
Partner with the Lead School Nurse and the Multidisciplinary Team.
Serve as the main point of contact for school nursing in the absence of the Lead School Nurse.
Conduct assessments, care planning, and evaluations in partnership with families.
Ensure safe administration of medication and maintain professional boundaries.
Participate in the audit process and contribute to health promotion programmes.

The ideal School Nurse, candidate will have:
Registration as a Nurse (Child branch or Learning Disability) or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience at Band 5 or 1 year at Band 6 in a relevant field.
Experience working with children with complex health needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
