The Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Biomedical Equipment Technician III (BMET III) to support PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. In this vital role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex medical equipment that directly impacts patient care. If you're passionate about technology, healthcare, and leadership, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

  • Inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate advanced clinical medical equipment, including:
    • Ventilators: Servo U, I, V60s, Trilogy EV300
    • GE Anesthesia machines

    • OR and Telemetry systems

  • Support and mentor junior technicians on troubleshooting and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Help drive patient safety, equipment reliability, and hospital performance

What Were Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience in biomedical/electronic equipment repair in a healthcare setting
  • Associate's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical devices
  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • Networking theory

    • Anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

    • Reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts drawings

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills
  • Leadership and mentoring experience required

Preferred Experience:

  • Clinical support experience in an acute care hospital

  • Hands-on with GE Anesthesia systems, ventilators, and OR/Telemetry equipment

  • Prior experience working in an HTM (Healthcare Technology Management) environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on technical service for a wide variety of patient care equipment
  • Provide advanced-level support for clinical equipment

  • Train and mentor BMET I and II staff

  • Ensure service documentation, compliance, and safety protocols are met
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and the Company teams for seamless operations
  • Manage the purchasing of parts and coordinate with vendors when needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Associate's degree or military training in electronics or biomedical technology
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field
