Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Software Quality Engineer for a contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA. This is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
- Work on black-box testing of Adobe Premiere video editing application
- Create automation scripts and tests that can be run within the existing automation system
- Test features related to playback and export performance
- Test features on Windows and Mac platforms
- Work on ensuring the highest quality, performance and scalability
- Collaborate with global teams on a regular basis
Required Skills:
- 5+ years' experience in Software Engineering with 3+ years working on automation and black-box testing
- Strong knowledge of black-box testing methodologies on Mac or Windows
- Strong knowledge of python or other scripting language
- Experience testing video applications
- Strong working knowledge and test experience with CUDA, Metal and/or OpenCL and video processing pipelines
- Experience working with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or TeamCity will be a plus
- Experience working in an Agile sprint-based development environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working in a global environment
- Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
