Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Data Scientist for an opportunity with one of our premier global clients in Oshkosh, WI.
As a Data Scientist, your primary responsibilities will be to analyze and interpret datasets by using statistical techniques, machine learning, and/or programming skills to extract insights and build models which solve business problems.
- Familiarity with data science tools, such as Azure Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Office (including Excel pivot tables), SQL, Spark, Python, R and C.
- Undertake the processing of multiple datasets, including structured and unstructured, to analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Prepare and concisely deliver analysis results in visual and written forms that communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Create useful and appropriate visualizations tailored for the intended audiences that are easy to interpret and drive data adoption to monitor business performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. data analysts, engineers, architects, business stakeholders) to understand data science needs for business requirements of medium complexity.
- Partner with key Supply Chain teams, DTS Analytics team and vendors to enable a robust data foundation
- Build complex predictive models and machine-learning algorithms. Integrate models into existing systems.
- Perform data science assignments, projects, visualization tasks, data quality improvements, and troubleshooting of data incidents, including the resolution of root causes.
- Possesses advanced understanding of data models, database design and management for structured and unstructured data.
- Actively explore/clean large data sets for supply chain optimization and develop statistical models, metrics, and KPIs.
- Resolve and document solutions to track and manage incidents, changes, problems, tasks, and demands.
- Lead analytical model development, evaluation, and deployment to support operational decision making across client-to-End Supply Chain.
- Possesses understanding of business' processes and terminology in at least one area of the business
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree with 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI, Azure
- Hybrid Model of 3 days on site
- Manufacturing/OEM experience
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters or doctorate degree
- Familiarity with Power Platforms
- Familiarity with LLM (open source or closed)
- Experience in Front end web app development (Flaskapp, Gradio etc)
- Familiarity with RAG architecture
