Sr Manual Tester

Key Responsibilities Include:

Write Test cases at the beginning of a Sprint

Do end to end regression of application(s)

Writing automation test scripts will be an added plus (Selenium preferable)

Collaborate with the product Development teams and other Product Owners to understand the requirements and develop and lead the test scenarios for all production related issues

Work with QA team to do functional test, regression test, UI test, unit test for all the new features in cross browser settings and mobile devices.

Communicate, prioritize and track test execution, defects and issues appropriately and recommend corrective action whenever required.

Work closely with an offshore team and provide mentorship

Ability to do knowledge transfer to the team, perform Demos to the project collaborators

Work with development team and DBAs to report system deficiencies and advance to various teams for timely resolution of issues

Must be able to prioritise multiple testing assignments

Competencies:

Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for interacting with team members

Demonstrated ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible working schedule with a strong sense of ownership of said application platforms

Exceptional logical thinking while planning for new initiatives or troubleshooting an absolute must

Willingness and ability to organize a varied workload. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks for on-schedule delivery

Self-starter, competent at working independently with minimal supervision

Required Technology skills:

8+ years of experience with quality assurance and testing life cycle activities and deliverable

Must be familiar with SQL, .NET, Web services and API integrations

Must be familiar with the HTML, Stylesheet & JavaScript in order to troubleshoot any front-end issues with Web applications

Experience in Automation Frameworks such as Selenium on .NET or Java will be a plus.

Demonstrated experience using test automation in functional, acceptance, Load Test and integration testing

Hands-on experience with Agile related frameworks and tools like JIRA

Hands on experience of code management using GitHub, SourceTree, BitBucket or similar technologies

Experience in implementing and troubleshooting backend processes

Experience in Azure DevOps will be a plus, especially with technologies such as Bamboo, Octopus, Jenkins, MSBuild or similar tools

The salary range for this role in New York is $96,900 – $161,600. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
