We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sr. Sales Account Manager to join our Beauty and Personal Care team! You will be responsible for building a long-term, value-based relationship with accounts; penetrating them for further business and improving the margin they create while reducing the time and costs of managing them./ppWhat youll do:/pulliImprove Univars position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account./liliProspect for new business by conducting sales calls to actively grow the size of the territory./liliFocus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction./liliProvide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer./liliMaintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline./liliSet pricing and service levels, as well as maintain and coordinate customer quotations or provide necessary information to allow local branches to do so./liliCoordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels./liliDemonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues./li/ulpWhat youll need:/pulliMinimum of 7+ years of sales experience in the Beauty Personal Care (raw chemicals) industry./liliSales experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry sales is preferred./liliBachelors degree (Technical Science, Chemistry preferred but not required)./liliAbility to nurture an extensive network of contacts./liliDemonstrated competitive drive./liliStrong business savvy, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users of chemical products and services./liliWell-honed listening skills and a problem-solving mindset to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections to closing a sale./liliEffective negotiation skills that allow Univar to realize appropriate value for products and services./liliAbility to travel within the assigned territory./li/ulpWhere youll work:/ppThis is a home-based opportunity Covered territory includes Chicago, IL.
