Job Title: Validation Engineer
Location(s): Dearborn, MI
Job Description:
- The Validation Engineer is responsible to lead software and electrical feature testing for specific vehicle programs and should be capable of working with suppliers, various Engineering Support teams including systems, wiring, design release engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to validate and resolve electrical issues to support successful vehicle launch.
Responsibilities:
- Create test plans for software and electrical features across the vehicle: cluster, radio, body control module, telematics, and powertrain
- Execute ADAS – Advanced Driver Assist System feature testing
- Execute OTA – Over the Air Update features testing
- Experienced with Bench and Vehicle Testing
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans (DVP&R) at the vehicle level
- Report defects based upon test plan failures
- Develop and maintain subsystem test benches
- Root cause analysis of issues found
- Provide feedback on System Requirements to ensure specs are testable
- Create, debug, modify, and execute test automation scripts
- Supporting customer team for development of solutions for Test Automation incl. infrastructure and maintenance as well as customization of tools.
- Execution of existing automated test scripts using CANoe or ECU-Test according to a given test specification and test plan
- Familiar with TestRail, Jira, and Confluence
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Relevant automotive experience
- Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CAN-FD and Ethernet protocol
- Creating test plans
- Performing System Behavior Testing
- HIL validation on DSPACE Test Benches
Experience:
- 4.00 Years of Experience
