Veterinarian

Veterinarian – Join a Family-Focused Practice in Western Sydney $90k – $130k per annum.

You are an adventurous vet, and the thought of working in Australia has always excited you.

With its outdoor lifestyle, the mountains, the beaches, the long blue-sky days, and its ‘happy-go-lucky’ attitude to life, Australia has the lot.

Want to work somewhere with a caring like like-minded team, a place to develop, and somewhere that values your skills and your sanity?

Well, you are in luck as this long-standing, family-style veterinary practice in Western Sydney is hiring.

They are searching for a warm, capable veterinarian to join their supportive and close-knit team. With over 70 years of service to pets and their owners, this well-established clinic continues to thrive and grow.

Currently operating two busy hospitals, with plans for more, this is a team with a vision and heart.

The new vet will be involved in consultations, general surgical procedures, and will also play a key role in supporting and mentoring future veterinary professionals.

This opportunity is ideal for a vet with at least 2.5 years of clinical experience. No superhero cape required, just solid clinical skills, an empathetic nature, and a sense of humour.

There is sole charge one Saturday in every four, but the team ensures vets are well-prepared and never left in the deep end. There are no after-hours, and the clinic closes completely for Christmas, Easter, and New Year’s Day, with only 1–2 public holidays worked per year—a genuine commitment to work-life balance.

The salary on offer is between $90,000 and $130,000, depending on experience. The benefits package includes four weeks of annual leave, one week of paid study leave, and a generous $1800 CPD allowance. In addition, the clinic pays for the radiation licence, VIN and CVE memberships, and actively supports professional development at every stage.

The team typically includes 3 to 4 vets, supported daily by 2 to 5 skilled nurses and two charismatic clinic cats helping to maintain morale on those difficult days. The atmosphere is welcoming and down-to-earth, this is a team that truly treats each other like family.

The practice is conveniently located near shops, cafés, and local amenities, and it’s only a short drive to stunning countryside, beaches, and rivers. Whether it’s outdoor adventures, relaxing weekend escapes, or vibrant local events, there’s something for everyone nearby. From Sydney Zoo and Raging Waters, to Skyline Drive-In movies, drag bingo, and Blacktown City Festival, the area is bursting with life and variety.

So, what's next?

This is more than just a vet job, it’s a place to grow, connect, and enjoy coming to work each day. Whether you are a candidate who is actively looking or just curious, we would love to hear from you.

Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.

Enjoy your new vet adventure on the other side of the world
