Veterinary Surgeon
This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years’ experience to join a friendly, supportive team in a modern, well-equipped practice. The role offers a varied caseload, strong case ownership, a focus on early diagnostics and preventative care, and ongoing CPD. Full-time hours are worked over three or four days with a one-in-four weekend rota, supporting a healthy work–life balance and long-term career development within a growing veterinary group.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high standards of preventative, diagnostic and medical care
* Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions with consistency and care
* Manage cases with a strong focus on pet wellbeing and continuity of care
* Carry out a mixture of consulting and surgical duties
* Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
* Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical team members
* Complete clinical records and administrative tasks accurately
* Participate in the weekend rota (1 in 4)
Requirements
* Veterinary Surgeon with 3+ years’ experience
* Minimum of 1 year practising in the UK
* Strong interest in early diagnostics and case management
* Commitment to continuous clinical development
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A team-oriented and supportive approach
* Ability to work effectively within a structured yet flexible rota

Working Hours & Flexibility
Full-time vets typically work a four-day week, with a consistent day off to support work–life balance. Shifts are nine hours, combining consulting and surgical duties. Each vet also benefits from a dedicated hour per day for administrative work, built into the working schedule. Flexible working patterns are available, and alternative arrangements can be discussed to ensure the role works for the successful candidate.
