Veterinary Surgeon

Join a practice that puts people and pets first. P/T Vet Surgeon. £62-£65k Pro Rata. Stoke-on- Trent

Remember why you became a vet? Following cases from diagnosis to recovery, building real relationships with pets and their families, and working with a like-minded team that only wanted what’s best for patients and practice.

Luckily, there are still places like this, and this one is hiring.

We are working with a modern independent practice where every case matters and every vet has a voice. No managers telling what to do from afar, no silly targets, and no production line consults. Just you, doing what you trained for, the way it should be done.

A great range of cases here, the ones that made you love veterinary medicine in the first place. Complex medical cases, interesting surgeries, and yes, even the occasional emergency that keeps you sharp (but only during your shifts), we believe vets deserve a break. No OOH’s here.

This practice has a real ‘family feel,’ about it where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time. Without the shackles of a large vet group, decisions can be made quickly, and ideas are encouraged.

Here's what they offering the right person:

* 2-3 days per week covering approximately 20 hours.

* Typically Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

* Modern, well-equipped facilities.

* Brilliant nursing team who know their stuff and care about getting it right.

* Visiting specialists (cardiology and orthopaedics) – learn from the best.

* Flexible CPD budget tailored to your interests.

* No OOH’s but some inpatient care on Sundays with nursing support.

Bonus perks:

* Support local and national animal charities.

* On-site accommodation is available short-term if you're relocating.

* Management that actually supports you instead of micromanaging.

What we need from you: Some experience under your belt, you don't need to be a specialist, just confident enough to make decisions and ask questions when you need to. An emphatic team vet and a real team player are just as important as experience.

This is more than just a vet job, it’s a place to grow your skills, build real connections, and genuinely enjoy coming to work. Whether you're actively looking or just quietly curious about a change, we’d love to have a conversation.

So, what’s next?

Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.

Your next chapter starts here. Bring your passion and purpose to a practice that cares

£62000 – £65000/annum CPD allowance
