Veterinary Surgeon

Small Animal Veterinarian. Narre Warren, Melbourne. Australia from $95k – $125k. DOE.

Ever since you were a child you loved animals, caring for and looking after them. You can’t think of a time when you didn’t.

It was only natural then that your chosen career path involved animals and, many years later you are living out your dream as a vet. Or you were, until stilly targets were introduced, increased paperwork, and less time with the patient.

You want to be ‘on the tools,’ getting stuck helping, advising, and being the best vet you can be.

You are ambitious, starting to get itchy feet, and have always thought about working overseas.

Well, we are working with a hospital in Australia and its hiring. With its climate, beaches, ‘happy go lucky,’ attitude to life, and its rich history, what’s not to like?

It’s a big step, we understand that, curious, excited, then please read on.

This leading modern independent ASAV accredited hospital with an experienced team of veterinary professionals offers autonomy, and a place to develop and grow. They have the latest in tech and all the equipment, ensuring their vets have the necessary tools to provide Gold standard care and also aid in their professional growth.

With a team of supportive and experienced veterinary professionals, this role would suit a vet with ideally 2-3 years’ experience. But what is just as important is an emphatic vet who is a real team player.

You will be joining a dedicated team of veterinary professionals that offers a supportive environment where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time. A strong team that wants the best for patients and practice.

As an Independent they understand that everyone has a voice, they share opinions, thoughts, case studies, and hold discussions. Your opinion is valued, and your voice is heard.

You will be getting stuck in right from the start with a real mixed bag of consults, surgeries, diagnosing, treating, and providing emergency care. There will be some sole charge and mentoring of junior vets and nurses as required.

This is a permanent role working 4 days a week Monday to Saturday 38 hours in total, you chose your days and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.

So, what’s in it for you?

A competitive salary, 4 weeks annual leave, AVA fees paid for plus 50% of any afterhours fees. They offer a comprehensive CPD allowance of $2500, they’re interested in improving all their team and investing in them because it’s mutually beneficial.

Located in Berwick, just 40 mins from Melbourne you have plenty of facilities on their doorstep. Several local shopping centres, plenty of bar’s restaurants, sports, outdoor activities, and a national park.

So, what’s next?

Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.

Enjoy being a vet again at this ASAV accredited hospital

£48000 – £63000/annum CPD, fees paid, plus bonus
