QA Automation Engineer

Target Salary $105k – $135k
Job Description
This role would be working with an international team of software professionals doing QA Automation. Ideal background would be someone who comes from an SDET background. Build software scripting and utilize testing and automated deployment tools. Need will be to transition testing from dev to dedicated test resources. Participate in daily scrum meetings, user stories, and software deployment. Most of the customers are federal government branches, so software has to be deployed with a high degree of error free software solution.
Required Skills:
6+ years of software development in test experience (SDET).
4+ years of quality test automation building software scripting and automation tools experience (will be evaluated on this during interview)
Strong SQL – ability to create complex SQL statements and queries (will be evaluated on this during the interview)
Test Tools should include as many of these as possible: Postman, REST, Selenium, GraphQL, JMeter, Ruby, WaitiR.
UI test automation skills
demonstrated experience working on atleast one UI Automation tool and is able to write scripts with very little training
API’s test manual & automation skills
demonstrated experience working on atleast one API Tool and is able to write scripts wit very little training
Manual Testing experience
Demonstrated experience with being creative, curious
understands defect lifecycle with hands-on experience with manual testing
Can show step-by-step process in documenting manual testing.
CI/CD experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as CS, MIS, Math or Engineering discipline.
Bonus/Soft Skills:
Java and PL-SQL programming
Testing Web Services
UI Automation – ability to create new frameworks
DevOps experience (Jenkins, TeamCity)
GCAG and 508 compliance accessibility testing highly desired
Azure and Jira test automation and deployment tools experience
Highly collaborative
Strong personality to be able to participate in meetings, handle feedback
