Start your chemistry career in a hands-on lab setting.

 

Ozinga is hiring a Chemist to test and document cement, cementitious, and related materials used in concrete applications.

 

You’ll join a lab team that prepares samples, runs routine tests, follows lab procedures, and records results that support quality, safety, customer service, and manufacturing efforts at Ozinga.

This is a hands-on role where accuracy matters and growth is encouraged.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Test cement and cementitious samples following lab methods 
  • Record data and help write clear reports
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot basic lab equipment
  • Follow safety procedures and support lab audits
  • Assist with lab experiments for customers and manufacturing facility’s needs 
  • Report and help investigate unusual test results
  • Provide accurate and prompt test results to help customers and Ozinga manufacturing facilities 

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Lab experience from school or internships
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working with data and basic lab software
  • Willing to learn tools like XRF, XRD, and Calorimetry

 

What Experience You’ll Need:

  • Entry-level role; school or internship lab experience is welcome.
  • Comfortable following lab procedures and working with a team.
