Project as a whole – supporting AI tool that handles administrative tasks, that’s looking to be deployed through the firm.
GenAi solution relying on function calling, there are individual functions, some degree of ML and optimization of algorithms.
Experience with GenAi (understanding how to make calls to OpenAI, best practices, how to make function calls, structured outputs, should be aware of language chain-ing, should know agentic frameworks (can share why what’s good etc)
NLP ranging to transformers, deep learning approaches would be helpful.
Python – Scikit-Learn is a necessity, ideally experience with deep learning PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax, Keras (which Gebreab had, might mark a shallow understanding)
Description
This role will be a part of a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, designers, and product managers working on a high-priority initiative.
Leveraging cutting-edge technology, we aim to revolutionize how we conduct and synthesize knowledge research, enabling Firm members to deliver impactful stories effortlessly.
Work hands-on with the latest multimodal LLMs, conducting experiments and deploying production pipelines that utilize generative models (such as GPT-like models) for automating knowledge search, curation, and synthesis processes.
This includes model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and iteration, enhancing creativity and content generation.
Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers, designers, and project managers on interdisciplinary projects.
Utilize mathematics, statistics, machine learning, and generative AI to extract structure and insights from raw data across diverse industry sectors.
Skills:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
3 years of experience in AI or Machine Learning
Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of NLP, Transformers, LLMs, and Generative AI
Required experience with OpenAI’s GPT suite, including previous experience with their multimodal LLMs: GPT4V, GPT4o
Theoretical understanding of how LLMs can be leveraged to build classification models, re-rankers, and recommendation systems
Strong programming skills: well-versed with building end-to-end data models and pipelines in Python according to the best engineering practices
Experience managing a Git repository – maintaining effective version control with organized & clean branching strategies
Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple product teams and profiles – data scientists, software engineers, tech leads, product managers, designers
Strong problem-solving skills to work collaboratively towards an outcome
Strong communication skills
Nice to haves:
Experience with conversational agents
Understanding of Semantic Search, specifically with Transformers, and familiarity with the relevant Python Libraries (e.g., SentenceTransformers, BERT)
Experience with product development and working in software engineering / Agile teams
