Job Description: Lab Assistant
This role is 100% Onsite
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, Business Hours

The Lab Assistant will manage routine lab tasks primarily in the GMP and non-GMP labs in the Client Bioassay Center of Excellence and Impurities Center of Excellence in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The role requires familiarity in laboratory settings, strong organizational skills, and experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities:
" Perform equipment routine preventative maintenance/performance verification (PM/PV) according to SOP, where applicable
" Schedule vendors for routine and non-routine equipment maintenance, if applicable.
" Implement and maintain lab organization according to 5S
" Coordinate with lab services for routine consumables
" Order necessary non-routine lab consumables, as necessary
" Receive and unpack/store lab consumables
" Store and aliquot materials, as necessary

Qualifications:
" BS/BA in biology or related discipline
" Ideally 3-5 years of experience working in a general molecular/cell biology laboratory setting.
" Experience in a QC environment is advantageous
" Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
" Awareness/working knowledge of cGMP environments is advantageous
" Working knowledge of micropipettes and other standard molecular biology equipment is advantageous
