Lead – Locum Children's Occupational Therapist – Children & Young People
Location: Lewisham, London
Rate: £40 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Locum
About the Role
* Tripod are seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist to oversee and manage the delivery of occupational therapy services for children and young people.
* You will provide specialist supervision and leadership across the service, ensuring that all work is carried out in line with relevant legislation and guidance, including the Chronically Sick & Disabled Persons Act 1970.
* This role offers the opportunity to shape best practice and directly contribute to improving the lives of children and families in the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver occupational therapy services for children and young people.
* Provide and maintain a specialist and supervisory lead across OT services (e.g. children with disabilities, housing adaptations, rehabilitation, telecare, early intervention, or Intermediate Care).
* Deputise for the Operational Manager and Service Manager where required.
* Support the Service Manager and Operational Managers in achieving Council policies and priorities.
* Monitor and report on OT standards of practice, ensuring compliance with the COT Professional Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
* Advise and assist management on the development of best practice in all aspects of care for children with disabilities.
Requirements
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
* Strong background in children’s/Paediatric's services and/or specialist areas of OT practice.
* Previous leadership/supervisory experience within an OT team.
* Ability to work effectively with managers, service users, and multi-disciplinary teams.
